I’m sure that I’m not the only one recently been made aware of the game that has been making massive waves online and in all of pop culture, DELTARUNE, which I know will not only win Game of the Year upon it’s full release, but will tear the internet and pop culture scene to shreds.
DELTARUNE is the follow-up game of UNDERTALE created by Toby Fox, a game with over 10 million total sales across all platforms. DELTARUNE’s first chapter came out in late 2018, causing not just Fox’s maintained fanbase but the entirety of the internet to be thrown into a frenzy as a new story began. Following the release of Chapter 3 and 4 in early June which released alongside Nintendo’s fastest-selling console of all time, the Nintendo Switch 2, and even beat out the launch title Mario Kart World in sales, it’s obvious that DELTARUNE is already an absolute powerhouse of a game.
What’s most important to note is that the game has only just finished its introductory parts and entered the start of the rising action. This means that the final 3 chapters of DELTARUNE’s journey are bound to multiple times as insane, shocking, and entertaining as the previous 4. Every single online platform is smothered in DELTARUNE content and love already, ranging from musical covers and original songs, streamer reactions and Let’s Play’s, cosplays, theory and discussion videos, fanart, and fan fiction, and it’s even started a new form the Rick Roll, with remixes of songs to fit the infamous “Freedom motif”. This mass hysteria that these few chapters have caused is only a small drop of what’s to come.
It’s clear that DELTARUNE isn’t just another indie game, hell, it’s clear it isn’t just another spectacular indie game, it’s the start of something ginormous. Every chapter becomes a cultural explosion, and when the game releases in full in the next few years it will become something far bigger than anyone can contain; the ruler of the Internet.
From the incredible characters that make up our Delta Warriors, the charismatic and enigmatic antagonists, an absolutely killer soundtrack and visual style, and a very, very annoying dog, DELTARUNE is a diamond in the rough and a ticking time bomb, an enormous pop culture event that will leave its mark for the rest of time The question isn’t when will it happen, but when will you be joining us?

The FUN Gang participating in Mr. (Ant) Tenna’s gameshow in DELTARUNE Chapter 3, perhaps you’d like to join them?
