Ted Lasso is finally back after a 3-year break, and you better believe that after the ending of Season 3, fans have been anxiously anticipating the return of this feel good series about an American football coach who makes his way across to the UK to lead a struggling English soccer team. The show known for its upbeat heartwarming feel has had everyone remembering that one quote “To believe in yourself, that’s fundamental to being alive” a quote frequently used throughout the series “Believe” being his main fundamental word for everything he does.

With Apple tv originally portraying the 3rd season as the final season. Ending with the worlds nicest coach who had led AFC Richmond to many wins and fixed many broken relationships. Leaving enough motivational speeches to fill a decade’s worth of calendars and returning home to Kansas City to be with his son, Henry.

Season 4 officially released on august 5th with a running of 10 episodes to be aired. The start of the season starts with Ted working as an assistant manager at a grocery store 2 years down the road, that is, until fate comes knocking on the door for with his old friends and our fan favorites Rebecca, Keeley and Higgins come to Kansas to visit ted proposing him with an offer for him to return to England to coach the new Richmond WFC team.

The series has definitely raised some questions regarding what happened to some of the fan favourites who are absent or not mentioned any more such as Nathan and Rupert Mannion not clearly mentioning what happened to some of these characters or where they ended up but that’s not saying we might still get answers as the series continues. With season 4 being Teds return to Richmond to coach the Lady Greyhounds, we have some strong new contenders for fan favourites with the infusion of new cast members who quickly create an impression. Assistant coach Alice Chilton, a reserved, seemingly humor-impaired coach trying to find her footing alongside the bromance duo of Ted and Coach Beard, Jemma Jay our new striker for the WRFC studying a law degree, Lizzie Davis as our mum of the team making sure everyone stays in line, Niamh Harrigan and Siobhan Harrigan who are the reckless twins with two very different personalities always at each other throats and Katie Quinn as our new goal keeper who refuses to wear gloves as “she likes to feel the sting of the ball as it hits her hands” displaying a very Roy Kent attitude as Boots with her strong blunt humour.

The 4th season has yet to make an impact, the series still relying on the first 3 seasons to gain interest for those who have already know the series. Don’t get me wrong the new series has had some fantastic scenes between characters notable ones being the tension between Keylee and Roy Kent’s relationship, Rebecca getting completely hammered at the WRFC shouting “where are you” in front of all the WRFC fans live. The new episode also bringing back one of the fan favourites Jamie tart, doing a marketing campaign for a vodka brand at a club, but that’s not the only major scene worth noting in the most recent episode but at the end not only does Rebecca’s new boyfriend come back after radio silence for a few days but Roy finally admitting while drugged he still has loves Keely to another woman he was seeing in hospital.

While the new season has only just started the series as a whole is definitely worth watching offers existing fans and emerging ones that Ted lasso experience and journey. It’s a series that creates that heart warming feeling while teaching you valuable life lessons through many of Ted lassos quote one sticking with fans globally “Be curious, not judgmental” which is something everyone should take to heart.
