The ending of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is being adapted into a trilogy of movie. In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, Tanjiro Kamado and his companions arrive at the Infinity Castle, the Demon King Muzan in here. The castle is controlled by Nakime, one of Muzan’s subordinates. Its structure resembles countless traditional Japanese rooms stitched together, constantly shifting and changing. As a result, Tanjiro and his allies are forced apart and must each face different powerful enemies on their own. In this film, Tanjiro and Giyu Tomioka defeat Akaza, a formidable opponent, ranks third among the demons in terms of strength. Throughout the 155 minutes runtime of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, Ufotable’s team relied primarily on hand drawn, supported by digital technology. In order to show the grandeur and folding features of the Infinite City in the film, the entire model of the Infinite City was created using 3ds Max. Approximately 30 versions of the structural design were created. Moreover, the production team carefully handled the lighting and atmosphere of each scene. Through the contrast of light, unique depth-of-field images were created. The 2D plane was transformed into a 3D visual effect. This strengthened the visual effects and emotional expression of the movie.

The Ufotable team has perfectly recreated the character designs from the manga. Visually, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba incorporates many elements of Japanese culture into its character design and fight scenes. For example, the outer garment worn over the Demon Slayer Corps uniform resembles the traditional Japanese haori. Shinobu Kocho, whose fighting style is associated with insect motifs, her haori is decorated with butterfly patterns. In the movie, such details are shown even more vividly. When Shinobu fights, the movement of her clothing resembles the fluttering of butterfly wings. Another example is Mitsuri Kanroji, her movements in battle combine flexibility with strength. The large cinema screen presents these combat designs with remarkable impact. With the background music, it allows the audience to feel the different emotional shifts experienced by the characters during battle.

In conclusion. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is an excellent anime movie. The production of this film employed a combination of 2D and 3D techniques, perfectly presenting the fantastical world depicted in the manga. Excellent and smooth battle camera shots, showcasing the competition of different characters’ combat skills, is truly thrilling. Even if it is not watched by fans, the audience can still enjoy a great visual experience.

Of course, there are also those who criticize the film for having too many background memories for the characters. However, as an anime movie adapted from manga, the box office performance of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has shown that it has attracted more than just fans.
