If you haven’t been living under a rock, then you have heard of the teen show, The Summer I Turned Pretty. A three season show based on the book trilogy by author Jenny Han, streaming on Amazon prime the show has captured the hearts of teenagers and young adults all over the globe. Isabel (Belly) Conklin (Lola Tung) is caught in a love triangle with two brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) while also dealing with the struggles of being a teenager going through Highschool and the dramas of summer!
Social media has been flooded by theories of who Belly will end up with, Conrad Fisher the older, hotter, and closed off med school student, or could she end up with the golden retriever personality, frat boy and super senior – Jeremiah fisher, Conrad’s younger brother. The trending hashtags for the past month have been #TeamConrad or #TeamJeremiah with debates happening all over social media about who belly belongs with more. Although the love triangle has taken the internet by storm, so is the soundtrack, featuring songs by award-winning artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Tyler the Creator, Sabrina Carpenter, and many songs by Taylor Swift being featured throughout all three seasons of the show and viewers cannot stop talking about how each scene is perfectly created with the music to capture the hearts of all viewers around the world.

As someone who only recently started watching, I cannot believe the number of media and news surrounding this show, it’s a show for the girls who feel deeply and who romanticize their life and surroundings. The third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty is currently being released weekly and each episode is having the audience on the edge of their seats, people are coming together and having weekly screenings of each episode. The show is the most watched show on Amazon Prime Video across the globe. Mine and everyone else’s question is, who will Belly end up with? The author of the series Jenny Hann has a lot of power in her hands and could make many people very upset as the viewers are very passionate about the Fisher Brothers.

From the cast themselves to the music, outfits, hair, and makeup the audience has proven they are very passionate about the summer I turned pretty, looking for easter eggs in each episode that could possibly hint towards who belly will end up with. This show has taken the world on a rollercoaster of emotions and I for sure cannot wait to see the end of the final season.

I agree! 🙂 TSIP has definitely took over social media, and for a good reason. As a #TeamConrad myself, I certainly do hope the last few episodes, Belly will start to realise and stop lying to herself about who is the better brother!
I AGREE, i love the scenes, the beach house, the aesthetic and the soundtrack. PLUS, who doesnt love a romantic series?
