The Short Article can take one of two forms
- A critical review of a new (published within the past 12 months) media object such as a TV series, film, videogame, comic or manga, album etc.
OR
- An informative news report about an interesting event in the creative arts and media industries such as a convention, an awards show, an artist interview, or similar.
Students should confirm their idea with their tutor or the unit convenor prior to writing their Short Article, to ensure they will remain within the parameters of the assignment. That said, we are interested in your ideas and perspectives, so feel free to present ideas not listed here.
The Short Article should reflect the principles of journalism as described throughout this course.
