About this Site
This publication is a student-led magazine blog based on NETS2001 & 5005 “Writing on the Web” offered at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. In addition to the local offering at the Bentley campus, students may undertake this unit with our offshore partners across the Indian Ocean rim and online through Open Universities Australia.
The Name of this magazine is subject to change based on the wishes of each cohort of students suggesting and voting on names. The shorthand “WOTW” is used in some places to refer to the site for convenience.
All work presented here is that of students in the unit, and is presented as such.
Mission and Focus
This publication is dedicated to providing students at Curtin with a platform to explore and develop their perspective on interest and issues related to media, (pop) culture, sport, arts and technology as it relates to the broader concerns of humanities-oriented study. The work here is fundamentally “in progress” as students learn more about the world, their perspective, and their relationships with others.
